Alec Baldwin is once again in the news. This time he says he is looking forward to trying “something different” after the sixth season of 30 Rock wraps up.

Back in April, a controversy was erupted after the Baldwin announced the show was going to end. Immediately the creator of the show, Tina Fey, came forward and talked to media and ruled out the possibility of the show ending so soon. Even Baldwin had to come and give clarification that he hoped the show to go “on forever.”

This time, in an interview, the 53-year-old actor has revealed that he is seriously considering leaving the sitcom even if it doesn’t wrap up.

He has said, “That’s pretty much all I think about right now. To finish the show, I’m going to do this year then start thinking about what I want to do next. It’s the big question.

“It’s been a great experience, and I’ve loved doing the show. It changed my life. I’ll never have it this good again, I know that. But I know that I’ve got to do something different, try something different. I don’t know what that’s going to be.”

With this the actor has also ruled out any possibility of coming back to films full time. He said, “When I go back into the world to go to work, I don’t know how likely I would be to [make films]. This is something I can’t answer now… I look at romantic comedies and independent films, quirky comedies, and I think I don’t really appreciate them that much.”

“All of this is as a result of doing 30 Rock, because I’ve really been completely tainted by the people I work with because they’re so funny… It’s tough to find something that’s really, really well written.”

After the interview, it came out that the actor finally agreed to Rock of Ages. He had previously not agreed to act in the show.
