30 Rock is back for its fifth season installment. The American comedy show is airing Season 5 for the 2010-2011 of the series on NBC.
Tina Fey still plays the role of Liz Lemon who is the head writer of a live comedy show featuring two main characters namely Tracy Jordan and Jenna Maroney, portrayed by Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski, respectively. Alec Baldwin still plays the role of Jack Donaghy who is the executive producer of NBC.
Season 5 features a new character named Jack Baker who is portrayed by Cheyenne Jackson. Recurring characters are also starred in the show like Maulik Pancholy portraying Jonathan and Grizz Chapman portraying Grizz Griswold.
30 Rock Season 5 premiered with the episode entitled “The Fabian Strategy”. In this episode, Tracy finds it hard to deal with Kenneth after being fired and then accepting the fact that Jenna is now one of the producers of TGS.
As 30 Rock progress with season 5, the team deals with various issues. Liza found it hard to socialize after the breakup but finally Jenna was able to invite her to go out. Also, Liza found herself hiring a new female writer who happens to be a very stereotype one. Also, the TGS dealt with the budget cut of the NBC network.
