Shadow Over Christmas at Rockefeller
Be prepared this Christmas to miss the Christmas tree lighting celebration in the Rockefeller Center. Producers, writers and technicians from the NBC said on Wednesday night that they will not carry out the annual broadcast because of a dispute in contract. The National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians (NABET) Local 11 said they were angry with the big bosses from the network for stalling negotiations. They said that they couldn’t let the top people at NBC spoil another Christmas for the thousands of hardworking people. Christmas is supposed to be a time of goodwill but according to NABET the network’s management is intending on hiding behind the fancy lights and keep the scores of employees in the dark.

We the viewers understand that everybody want their money, but it would be NABET itself playing spoilsport at large and ruining everybody’s Christmas as they bar the rest of the world from viewing the annual lighting. We request you to put your differences aside for the night and let us enjoy the view.
